LIES, DAMNED LIES AND STATISTICS
How is a citizen and consumer to make sense of it?
Are the numbers of H1N1 infections really rising?
Is the vaccine really safe?
Is the vaccine right for me? For my children?
What if I’m pregnant and my doctor says it’s safe?
Are vaccine reactions making the news?Below, is information that NJCVC and Life Health Choices would like to share with you on the unanswered questions. As you will see, our trusted health authorities fail miserably at keeping us up-to-date on the truth.
WHAT THEY TELL US:
Each day the media reports additional cases of H1N1 infections and rising death tolls attributed to the pandemic disease.
WHAT THEY DON’T TELL US:
In July of 2009, the World Health Organization issued a press release stating that it will no longer release the global table of H1N1 infections because it is “extremely difficult, if not impossible” to determine swine flu cases in laboratory testing. “Even in countries with limited laboratory capacities, WHO recommends that the initial virological assessment is followed by the testing of at least 10 samples per week in order to confirm that disease activity is due to the pandemic virus and to monitor changes in the virus that may be important for case management and vaccine development.”
The Centers for Disease Control issued a similar statement on October 2, 2009. “Influenza diagnosis will not distinguish between infection with seasonal influenza vs. infection with A-H1N1. Furthermore, it will not be confirming influenza infections with a diagnostic test, but rather, will rely upon the clinician’s judgement to determine flu infection if the patient presents with flu-like symptoms.”
The nasal spray vaccine by MedImmune has demonstrated evidence in clinical trials of shedding the live virus for 3-21 days post-vaccination. Vaccinating large populations, especially school children, with the live nasal-spray vaccine will cause a rise in the number of those infected.
NJCVC-LHC ASKS:
Then, how are health officials “confirming” and media outlets “reporting” the numbers of actual swine flu cases and swine flu-related deaths if they are no longer testing nor distinguishing between seasonal flu, swine flu, rhinovirus and pneumonia? And will these arbitrary and inflated figures then be used as statistics to drive future vaccination programs?
How can a public health initiative aimed at reducing the spread of H1N1 infections, engage in a vaccination program (administration by live-virus nasal spray) that has been clinically demonstrated to increase the actual rate of infection?
WHAT THEY TELL US:
Pregnant woman have been identified as a targeted risk group for H1N1 and seasonal influenza, therefore, they are urged to get the vaccines. Health officials and doctors claim the influenza vaccines are safe for pregnant women.
WHAT THEY DON’T TELL US:
Influenza vaccines are Category C pharmaceuticals which means that no animal or human studies have been conducted for safety. Influenza vaccines have not been tested on pregnant women. Each and every influenza vaccine maker states, in their product literature, the following:
It is not known if the vaccine will cause fetal harm when injected into a pregnant woman.
It is not known if the vaccine will impair fertility or affect reproductive capacity.
It is not known if the vaccine is excreted in human milk.
Influenza vaccines should not be administered in the first trimester of pregnancy due to risk of spontaneous abortion (miscarriage).
NJCVC-LHC ASKS:
How has the safety of the influenza vaccines been determined if no studies were conducted to test for safety? Let’s hear from the pregnant women themselves on the alleged safety of influenza vaccines for pregnant women: (Read below or click HERE).
E.B., Washington; “I was so excited to be pregnant after trying for a year... Everything was going great. Last Monday, I got the H1N1 vaccine thimerosal reduced. On Tuesday morning I started cramping and on Wednesday I started bleeding heavily... My doctor pushed it... there have been many miscarriages after the H1N1 but they haven’t been reported...”
Tayla08: “A friend of a friend just had a miscarriage 2-3 days after getting the shot. She was 7 weeks.”
90707: “ I recently miscarried as well and was due in June. I had a healthy heartbeat at 6 weeks then at 7.5 weeks my son got the H1N1 mist vaccine which has live vaccine in it. The nurse said to be careful because it could technically spread if he rubbed his nose and touched a surface etc. The next night I miscarried and 5 days later I was diagnosed with H1N1.”
Jo: “I got the flu vaccine (regular not H1N1) at 8 weeks pregnant. Three days later I miscarried. I am not going to get the H1N1.”
Regrets: “I got both vaccines on Thursday. I was 9 weeks pregnant. I miscarried on Sunday. I was told by several doctors to get these vaccines.”
(Sad face icon): “ I work in a hospital-like setting and was told ‘the benefits outweigh the risks.’ 1 a.m. I got the vaccine. 3 a.m. I started bleeding and cramping, 3 p.m. miscarried, you decide.”
Sue: “I had the H1N1 vaccination and 24 hours later had a miscarriage.”
Linda H: “My daughter in law was 10 weeks pregnant and had the H1N1 on Friday. That night she miscarried.”
So Sorry: “I was 6 weeks along and got it and started cramping and miscarried. I already had two healthy pregnancies and never miscarried or had any problems.”
Connie: “I also received the H1N1 vaccination on October 22nd, 2009 and went into labor on October 25th, at 16 weeks pregnant.... On October 28th my water broke and then on October 29th, I delivered a stillborn baby boy...”
Sioux Falls, South Dakota: “I received the H1N1 vaccine on October 16th and started experiencing cramping on the 22nd. I was nearly 17 weeks pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby boy on the 23rd.... the first thing I suspected was the H1N1 vaccine.”
Marina R: “I recently got the H1N1 vaccine and miscarried 3 days later.”
Kathy-sd: “I am from a town of 2000 in SD, there are several women pregnant... Four of us got the H1N1 vaccine 2 weeks ago and one by one each of us started to have pre-term contractions. We are all due in Nov and Dec so we are further along than most of the people who lost their babies.”
Ashley: “Not only myself but I know someone that within 4 days of getting the shot we both miscarried. I was only 6 weeks but she was 4 months along.”
Time Machine: “I got a flu shot in pregnancy, developed... strange symptoms immediately... began bleeding and miscarried by 11 weeks.”
AlinafromOz: “I had the normal Flu shot and I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks.”
WHAT THEY TELL US:
Time and again we hear that the H1N1 vaccine is perfectly safe; that’s it’s made just like the regular flu shot (which is not encouraging). Health officials want school children to get the vaccines in mass vaccination clinics.
WHAT THEY DON’T TELL US:
No flu vaccine has ever been tested for safety in simultaneous administration with other vaccines, i.e. childhood vaccines.
The clinical trials for safety and effectiveness in children under two years old involved only 19 subjects and adverse reactions were "solicited" for only 3 days post-vaccination.
Underlying health conditions can put an individual at a disproportionate risk for adverse reactions to vaccination such as giving live influenza virus vaccines to asthmatics or those with wheezing.
NJCVC-LHC ASKS:
What is the definition of “SAFETY” where vaccines are concerned? The following news releases beg a clearer understanding of the acceptable level of “vaccine safety.” Safety meaning there is an acceptable number of those who will serve as collateral damage for a program?
